[ Cable Ski @ Batam ]

Went to Batam on 6/10 for cable ski-ing. =) It started off with a tiring morning as I had to wake up at abt 5.30am, to prepare to meet up with the rest @ 7.30am at Harbourfront. Supposed to have breakfast b4 boarding the ferry @ 8.30am. But we were kind of late..so ended up tabaoing onto the ferry. Heez. Took the ferry @ the Cruise Centre. Left S'pore @ 8.55am.

The journey was abt 55mins & was glad that I didn't feel sea-sick or something. HAha. Alighted @ the 2nd stop - Waterfront. After which, took a bus ride which is only 5mins to reach the Cable Ski Circuit. It was something similar to the one in East Coast, just that it is like 2 times bigger! It's 800m, if i am not wrong. We were so scared la..intimated by the rest of the group, cos' they looked pro & we were like first-timers. Haha.

Luckily, majority of the group were first-timers too. We got changed & given briefing on knee-ski-ing as a start off. The people were nice & friendly. =) We were the first few to try, equipped with life jacket & helmet. Initially it was quite tough as you would have to adjust your strength & balance according to the pull of the cable. Jiayi & I managed to finish 1 round of knee-ski-ing on my 3rd try! Dear & Josh were faster..they got it on their 2nd try. It was not that difficult afterall. Haha! Too bad, we were too busy trying to ski that we forgot to take pictures of our successful trys! =)

Following that came the difficult part - Wakeboarding. Similarly, we were given briefing on the proper way to wakeboard b4 trying out. This is tough la! Dear was fast..he managed to get it on his 4th try..but couldn't complete an entire circuit though. The 3 of us still couldn't get it @ the end of the day. It really requires arm's strength as well as your legs must be able to balance the ski-board. Especially during the turning point whereby the cable will slack followed by a sudden pull. I thought it's the toughest part of the circuit.

We were trying to be funny la..haha..came out with the idea to have 2 ppl knee-skiing together with 1 board. But the guides said that it's possible. So..dear took me for a ride..LOlx..it was diffcult cos' dear had to have the strength to support 2 ppl. We were halfway through the circuit b4 we dropped into the water @ the turning point. The pull was too strong for dear to hold on. Haha..& poor dear..took Jiayi for a ride also. In total, think we tried abt 4 times. Dear's arms were like jelly after that. Haha.

It was really quite an experience which leaves us with muscle crump on the shoulders, arms as well as thighs. HAha..it was worth it though! & definately we will be going back for more! =) It's fun, fun & fun! =) 1 day is insufficient & i want to succeed in wakeboarding!!! We were back in S'pore @ abt 9pm. It was dinner @ Harbourfront b4 we went home to rest. Damn shugged. Heez.

On Sunday, Dear & I went to PS to catch the movie - Balls of Fury. It was a funny movie & i thought Maggie Q looked really hot in it. We enjoyed the show but we thought some parts were quite fast-paced. There are many shows which we wanna watch..next up would be Resident Evil, The Nanny's Dairies, Chuck & Larry, etc.

It's work & hip hop class later. I really wan to continue dancing..so..i think by hook or by crook, i have to save up for it..=/ Anyway..not sure how am i going to dance later with crumps like this.
