[ Where's the Sun? ]
Where's 太阳公公？ Supposed to go to the beach with Yingz today...but..the weather is not encouraging..it started off with the drizzle..& now that the drizzles are gone..the sun didn't want to come out too..wat's going to the beach without the sun? Although i don't wanna get tanned..not that i need any..
So..last min plans..to meet up with June & Wah for our present hunt at Vivo later. Yingz will be joining us too.
Went for this movie : "Apocalypto" in town with my boy yesterdae. We realized that we haven't been watching movies lately..so we had this sudden "crave" for movies. Haha..this is a movie directed by Mel Gibson (previously an actress, a pretty good one!)..& i must say.."Thumbs UP" for this movie. But dun think it will suit everyone? But both of us love it. It is abt tribes living in the jungle..& how another tribe came to destroy the homeland of one..& captured those hunk males & ladies. The ladies were sold off to another tribe..while the hunks were stabbed to death alive, with their hearts dugged out, their heads chopped off & rolled down this long flight of stairs, followed by their bodies. This is believed to be a ritual to sacrfice the blood of these males for their "God".
The climax is how this single fellow..managed to escape from this tribe & struggles to fight off members chasing after him. The tactics that he used are basic & original..tools used from the natural environment, where technology does not exist. & how he managed to save his wife & son + a new born son at the end. The only exggerating issue is that he is capable of running from the morning till night..den morning again. The tribes chasing after him too..can run for so long..with such stamina..haha..There are funny scenes too..we were quite sadist..we laughed when we saw this man with half of his face gone..& blood oozing out of his veins..with the "piss..piss" sound, etc.
I teared during the show too..seeing the way families were separated from one another..& the gruesome ways that some of them died. The touching scenes of those wifes struggled to free themselves from those sexual-derived men despite being tortured.
It is a movie full of feelings..real feelings & fear depicted. Guessed it's the life how our fore-fore fathers lived?
After the action packed movie, we went shopping..& really..i have to stop shopping! Bought a tube top + a tube dress..guessed my New Year clothes are settled. Haha..after which..we strolled down the streets of Orchard..when shops were all closed..immersed in our own world. *blehz*

It's realli getting hard to keep my blog updated...been busy with lotsa stuff, even more busy when Hui wasn't around. Glad she's back now..but we're having some events coming up..so gonna be occupied again...
Starting this week, sch's schedule is going to get more packed..Classes weren't on from last Thurs till this Tue..a 6 days break..have no idea y..but it's better than none! hEez..Ying was right..she said we can actually go on a holiday during this period..
Am having dance class tonight..looking forward to it! Haven pay the sch fees..*SIGH*..don't think i can continue these dance classes for long..my account is realli running dry..given that i dun hav much savings to start with..*SIGH*..& yet dear & I was planning to go for a holiday again..guessed we have to abolish that..=(
Here's some updates of happenings in my life:
21st Jan - Our 4th Year & 4 mths CelebrationStayed over at dear's place the previous night, woke up at abt 1pm+ for lunch..& set off at 4pm+ to my place for our plans. We planned to start earlier..but I was occupied with stuffs to do..but dear waited patiently & assured me that our plans will still be successful. =)
We planned to rent the vcd "The Host" & prepare a home-cooked dinner b4 we sets off for our swim @ the new Sports Complex just few stops away from my place. But since we only reached my place at 5pm..our plans were reversed.
We went to rent the show b4 going for our nice nice swim first..the place was ok..not as big as the one at JE, only pools & the lazy river, a big slide..nth much though..but i was really happy! I was "craving" to go for a swim..like for a year le? Dear & I had a great time playing at the lazy river (like kids)..& a decent swim at the pool. Felt really nice to excerise..=)..especially when it's my favorite sports.
After which..went home to bathe & I was supposed to prepare dinner for dear..but he was too hungry while waiting for me to bathe that he started off with the preparation. We prepared:
- Lamp Wrap : Roti Skin, Cabbage, Egg, Cheese, 2 slices of lamp
- Teriyaki Chicken Meatballs
- Spicy french fries
My darling is very ke lian..cos..i sucks in cooking la..so..he don't really have much of an option to choose! *Blehz*..Nevetheless..it was a success! Had this Nice & simple dinner while watching "The Host".
Dear was right..we did managed to carry out our plans. =) *I love you*
19th Jan - Gathering with June, Wah & the Guys @ Wala-WalaThe 2 Cls picked me up from Dover & headed down to meet June & Wah @ Holland Village. Piggy Lin planned to go Wala-Wala which was something new for me. The place's not bad..just that it was so crowded that we didn't get a table. It made it difficult for us to talk to one another, sitting @ the bar counter. But i would definately prefer these places to clubbing.
The gers tried different cocktails - Strawberry Crush, Pussy Foot & Virgin Mary. It was nice..EXCEpt for Virgin Mary. It was THE drink that we condemned for that day. It tasted hor-ri-ji-ble la..like wat Wah had described..it tasted like potato chips + tomato + chilli..the guys cant take it as well.
Had fun catching up with one another..especially with the guys..=)..i love such gatherings..only that it could be more often..but Wah had to leave early..cos Junyang was there to "summon" her home le..*oPPz*..
We planned to go Minds Cafe / Setters Cafe for the next gathering..i hope it wun be in a few mths time again..
17th Jan - Yunxin's 24th Bdae Celebration A 1-day advanced bdae celebration for Yunxin @ Clementi's Party World. B4 that, dear & I went to bugis after my class..to get pressie for her. Took some time to find something we thought really suited her. =)
Though the group of people going for the KTV was quite weird..but we still had fun. She was really surprised by the arrangement, especially with the cake, pressie & a hand-made card - designed by Juan & Yaxin. She's all smiley! Glad that she had enjoyed herself. =)
